My baby boy Harrison is getting big too fast!

I cannot believe Harrison is 3 1/2 months old! Where does the time go!?!? He is holding his head up really good (although he's been doing that ever since he was a newborn!), but he has more control of it now. He LOVES to laugh - it's so cute! Love that sound! And he still absolutely adores his big brother! His hair is starting to fall out, but it'll grow back in - I think it's going to be that real pretty light reddish brown color, but we'll see. I sat him down on our scale at home and it said 16.2lbs! Not sure how accurate it is, but I'm sure it's close. His 4mo checkup is in a few weeks (May 13th).

Disney On Ice

We took Hunter to see Disney on Ice Thursday night (4/23) at the Alltel Arena. It was a nice show, but I think Hunter would have enjoyed it much more if they would have done the newer Disney movies. The show included pieces from The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Lilo & Stitch and Peter Pan. All in all, we had a good time. Vickie Dinges from church babysat Harrison for us so we could enjoy the night with Hunter. Of course I missed him...wished he had been with us!

A Day at Pinnacle Mountain

We had a picnic with the church at Pinnacle Mtn after church yesterday. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! We had grilled burgers and dogs - and all the kids played on the playground. Hunter wore himself out! He had a blast. While Daddy stayed back at the picnic table visiting, I took the boys for a walk around King Fisher Trail (I'm too out of shape to climb Pinnacle, besides the boys are too young for a trip up the mountain!). I took a few shot of the boys on the trail. After a long afternoon at the park, we decided it was time to go home! Hunter was so worn out, he fell asleep on the way home while eating chips.

Hunter's Allergy Skin Test

So we went to the allergy clinic last week on the 14th. They did the skin test where they number his back 1-18 and put the "allergens" on his back - wait 15 minutes and see which ones he reacted to - well guess what! STILL NOT ALLERGIC TO SHELLFISH - Whatever! He was allergic to cat/dog/weeds/dust mites! Dog - REALLY!?!? Funny...we have dogs and he never breaks out in a rash! Only when he is around shellfish. They wanted to send him to AR Children's for more testing, but I'm not going to put him through that just yet. We'll just keep him away from seafood all together -which means no eating seafood around him! Man, that's going to be HARD!

Harrison's "blankie"

Harrison has a blankie...I thought blankie's were only for girls... I had gotten two blankies at my baby showers and I thought "I'll never use these.". Well, the last few days, I've been noticing that he likes to hold onto the burp rags (you know the cloth diapers), so I decided to give him a blankie. He loved it! If he's fussy, I'll give it to him and it soothes him, he finds comfort in it. So I've been laying him down on his back and giving him his new blankie and he'll just lay there and rub it and hold on to it and fall asleep. I don't know how long it'll last...but it's cute.

Hunter's First Dentist Appointment

Hunter had his first ever dental appointment yesterday (April 20th). I was scared on how he was going to react. I had my teeth cleaned first, so that he could get used to the idea of being in the office. Leigh was really good at showing him what she was doing to mommy and he thought it was neat. He thought the light was bright that they use for lighting, so he gave me my sunglasses - too cute. He knows how much I can't tolerate brightness! After I was done, it was his turn. It took a little bit to coax him into getting into the chair, but he finally got up there and got his teeth cleaned. At first he didn't like all the grittiness from the toothpaste, so he asked for water and he LOVED the "water gun". After that, every few seconds he would say "need water". Eventually all teeth were cleaned and he had a bright, shiny smile! No cavities - she said they looked good! What a relief! I was afraid she would say, he's got 10 cavities! If you have small kids, you know how hard it is to get them to let you brush their teeth, it's a constant fight!!! But nope, all 20 teeth looked good. We go back in 6 months.

Hunter's Haircut at Pigtails & Crewcuts

I cannot say how much I love this place!! I decided to give it a try again this Saturday morning to take Hunter to get his hair cut. I was bound and determined to be able to see his beautiful eyes again without having to move his bangs out of the way!! We walk inside and he immediately sees the Thomas Train table. While he is doing that I sign in and we wait until he's next - another good thing about this place - no appointments! Looking around, you see the cool chairs for the kids to sit in while getting a haircut (airplanie, taxi cab and fire truck), and each station had a LCD tv playing the movie Cars - one of Hunter's all time favorites! After only about 5 minutes of waiting, it was his turn! At first, he was a little hesitant, saying NO HAIRCUT, but Audrey, the young girl that was going to cut his hair was VERY good with him. To my amazement, he let me sit him in the airplane and she was able to put the cape on him - he has NEVER let anyone put a cape on him! Wow! Good first sign this was going to be a success! She gave him a sucker, but he didn't want to open it just yet - smart boy, nothing like hair on a sucker! ICK! He sat very still and never moved while he was getting it cut. I was in complete shock! I am so excited that I finally found a place that Hunter doesn't mind a haircut! I was so proud of him that we took him to Toys R Us to pick out a new choo-choo - like he needs anymore!

Easter 2009

Papaw Greg came home again this weekend for Easter. I really needed to take Hunter to get his hair cut, he hadn't had one since Harrison was born, but he has always given me a hard time about getting his hair cut, I'm talking about screaming fits!!! On Saturday morning, Greg and I were gonna take Hunter to Pigtails and Crewcuts (salon especially for kids in WLR) while Aaron stayed home with Harrison. We were almost there and I heard Hunter gagging himself in the backseat and I looked in my rearview mirror and he started vomitting!!! Well, that's one way to get out of getting a haircut!! Needless to say...no haircut once again... We had an Easter Egg Hunt at the East End Elem. with our children's church dept. on Saturday, April 11th. Thankfully we had it on Saturday afternoon since it POURED on Easter Sunday. Hunter got lots of eggs. Harrison wasn't able to hunt for an Easter eggs, but next year will be a different story. Afterwards we grilled out with the family. We went to church on Sunday morning, both the boys were cute in their Easter outfits. It was a lazy day, everyone took a nap except for me. After the rain, the weather got cooler, actually cool enough to build a fire and cook a pot of chili! We finally sat down and was able to watch Marley & Me - a very cute movie. I liked it.

Aaron's 35th Birthday

Papaw Greg came home for Hunter's birthday party and for Harrison's baby dedication. We were able to get photos of him with the boys. And also of Nannie Fran - we don't get pictures very often, so I took full advantage of Cherie when she came out for the birthday party. Pictures of Aaron and his siblings - even got some shots of me with my sisters! I'm so glad these pics were taken, I'll treasure them forever.
